2. PURPOSE

The Company respects the privacy rights of its Users and recognises the importance of protecting the personal data collected about them.

The purpose of this document is to inform the Users of the Website about the processing of personal data that takes place on this Website.

3. PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA SOLELY AS A RESULT OF ACCESSING THE WEBSITE
3.1. What data is processed

The Company collects the IP address and the data relating to the connection and its origin solely as a result of accessing the Website.

The IP address is a code that identifies the User’s Internet connection at any given time.

Only the User’s Internet access provider can identify the User to whom an IP address has been assigned at any given time.

Due to the nature of the server supporting the Website, the User’s IP address is automatically logged along with the date and time of access.
3.2. How is the data used

This data is used only to manage the normal use of the Website and for statistical analysis of the use of the Website.
3.3. Recipients of the data

The Company will not disclose this information to third parties unless required to do so by law (e.g. an official request as part of a police investigation).
3.4. Lawful processing

The legal basis for the processing of the IP address is the technological need to enable the provision of the Website.
3.5. Duration of data processing

IP addresses will be retained for a period of 1 month.

4. USER RIGHTS AND HOW TO EXERCISE THEM

5. OTHER PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
5.1. Cookies and similar technologies

The Company uses cookies and other similar technologies to store and retrieve data on terminal equipment (hereinafter referred to as ‘Cookies’).

Cookies are files that are downloaded to the User’s browser and can then be read by the Company. In this way, Cookies enable various functions, such as recognising a User who has previously visited the Website and analysing the use of the web service in order to improve it.

5.2. Contact form:

MACENAS MEDITERRANEAN RESORT will process the data provided through the contact form in order to deal with the request for contact.

• Legal basis: the legal basis for the processing is the consent given by the User when submitting the contact form.
• Data retention period: the data will be processed for the necessary time to deal with the User’s request for contact. They will then be blocked and kept for the necessary time to fulfil any obligations that may arise from the processing.

The User may withdraw their consent at any time and exercise their rights as set out in the data subject rights section of this Privacy Policy.

5.2.1. Newsletter subscription form:

MACENAS MEDITERRANEAN RESORT will process the data provided in the newsletter subscription form in order to communicate with the User and keep them informed of products, services, events or news from MACENAS MEDITERRANEAN RESORT.

• Legal basis: the legal basis for this processing is the consent given by the User when submitting the newsletter subscription form.
• Data retention period: the data will be processed indefinitely unless the User revokes their consent or requests the deletion of their data.

6. SENDING COMMERCIAL COMMUNICATIONS

MACENAS MEDITERRANEAN RESORT informs the User that the commercial communications requested by the User, or if the User has not objected to receiving them by ticking the appropriate boxes in the forms, will be sent using the Mailchimp tool, managed by the company The Rocket Science Group LLC, whose servers are located in the United States, a country whose legislation does not ensure a level of protection with regard to the processing of personal data equivalent to that in force in Europe. However, adequate data protection guarantees are provided by signing the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission Decision 2021/914/EU.

The tool used to send commercial e-mail communications will contain links and tiny transparent images associated with the User’s e-mail address. In this way, if one of these images is downloaded or if the links contained in the e-mail are clicked on, MACENAS MEDITERRANEAN RESORT will be able to determine, for statistical purposes, whether the e-mail has been opened or whether a link contained in it has been clicked on. The User can prevent these uses by configuring their e-mail manager or software to not automatically download images and by not clicking on links in e-mails they receive.

In each communication, the User may object to receiving this type of information through the specific opt-out mechanisms and, where appropriate, exercise the right to revoke, object to or delete consent.
